Term 2 Overview

We are already at the end of Term 2, and the end of Semester 1. The Term 2/Semester 1 assessment window closed on Friday 21 June (Week 8). Semester 2 will, therefore, begin at the beginning of Week 9 with the term finishing on Friday 5 July (Week 10). The end of term reports will be made available on SEQTA on the last day of term for all students and their families. The holidays will provide a great opportunity for students to reset, reflect on their learning in Term 2 and set goals for Term 3. Their first Thrive lesson next term will focus on this reflection, with their House Group teacher supporting each student to set goals for the term ahead. There is a Parent/Student/Teacher Evening scheduled in Week 5 of Term 3 where students and their families can meet with the House Group Teacher and Subject Teachers to reflect on their progress collaboratively.

As we look to the remainder of Term 2, we have the following events still ahead of us:

  • Week 7 is exam week for our senior year levels, Year 10, 11 and 12
  • Week 8 is Refugee Week and the final week of the Term 2/Semester 1 assessment window
  • Week 9 is the first week of Semester 2
  • Week 10 is NAIDOC Week and the final week of the term

2025 Course Handbook & Course Counselling Throughout Term 2, we have been developing our 2025 Course Handbook, which will highlight all of the curriculum offerings for next year. The book will be completed at the end of term and released to students, staff and families via the website to help support the course counselling process in Term 3. As part of the course counselling process, students in each year level will work with their House Group teacher to continue planning their future career options to make the relevant subject selections for 2025. All Year 10 and Year 11 students will attend a Course Counselling Day in Term 3, where they will meet with a course counsellor to make their final selections into our timetable. Information regarding these course counselling days will be sent home towards the end of this term.
