Dear Woodville High School Community,
As we wrap up Term 1, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Variety – the Children’s Charity, for their incredible support and generosity. Their contributions have made a significant impact on our Inclusive Education students, providing them with opportunities to engage, learn, and create lasting memories.
This term, our students had the pleasure of participating in a Zone Bowling event, organised in collaboration with School Sport SA and sponsored by Variety. It was a fantastic day filled with laughter, friendly competition, and the chance to strengthen positive relationships in a fun and relaxed environment.
In addition, Variety’s generosity allowed our students to enjoy a delightful movie outing to watch “Paddington in Peru.” This experience was made even more special as Variety covered not only the movie tickets but also provided snacks and transportation, ensuring that all our students could participate without any barriers.
Looking ahead, we are excited about our upcoming excursion to the Adelaide Zoo for Variety’s Easter picnic. This promises to be a day filled with fun, learning, and exploration, made possible by the wonderful people at Variety.

We also want to highlight the opportunities available through Variety’s Grant & Scholarship Programs. The Variety Heart Scholarships Program supports children with an existing talent, who are disadvantaged or living with a disability, to achieve their full potential and follow their dreams. Applications are accepted for children between the ages of 8 and 17 years who are SA residents. Scholarships are awarded to support children in the areas of the arts and sport and are awarded on a yearly basis, with funding to be spent within 12 months. Scholarships are awarded up to $5,000 per year, per application.

We are truly grateful for the magical moments that Variety has enabled for our students. Without such a wonderful organisation, many of these experiences would not be possible.
