Mark your calendars! On Wednesday, March 20th, we invite you to join us for our highly anticipated 2024 Open Night – an evening that holds great significance in our school calendar. It’s an opportunity for families interested in enrolling their children at Our Woodville to explore our vibrant campus and discover the exceptional educational opportunities we offer.
Upon arrival, families will be warmly welcomed by our dedicated Student Prefects, who will serve as knowledgeable guides throughout the evening. They will lead guided tours, offering a comprehensive look at all the learning areas that make Woodville High School a hub of innovation and excellence.
During the tours, guests will have the chance to explore our newly developed facilities, including the cutting-edge Food Technologies and Health and Physical Education buildings, as well as the recently redeveloped Art building and Wellbeing Hub. These modern spaces, alongside our STEM building and other areas, provide students with access to state-of-the-art teaching environments designed to nurture creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration – essential skills for success in the 21st century.
Our Principal, Anna Mirasgentis, will extend a warm welcome to all families and deliver an address in our Learning Hub – the heart of innovative pedagogical practices at Our Woodville. Throughout the evening, students will be stationed in each Learning Area, eagerly sharing their experiences, answering questions, and showcasing samples of their assessments, both summative and formative.
This year, we’re excited to introduce a special collaboration space in Lower Penny, highlighting the interconnectedness of Art, Design, ICT, and Media – a testament to the interdisciplinary approach we embrace at Our Woodville.
As families immerse themselves in our school community, members of our Governing Council will be busy manning the BBQs, serving up delicious sausages for our guests – a true reflection of the supportive and inclusive atmosphere that defines Our Woodville.
