The day centred on anti-racism and intercultural understanding, with students engaging in powerful conversations and reflections. We were privileged to be joined by a panel of inspiring community members who generously shared their insights and lived experiences.

A huge thank you to all staff who supported this year’s Braiding Project! Whether you were guiding student activities, managing logistics, setting up spaces, supervising groups, or helping behind the scenes. Your time, effort, and flexibility were deeply appreciated.

Special thanks also to our student leaders and the student organising committee, whose energy, ideas and leadership helped shape the day in a true example of student agency.

In the afternoon, students began work with Communications Consultant and journalist Ed McLeish to develop a student-led anti-racism campaign, which will be an exciting ongoing project. We look forward to seeing where they take it next and the impact it may have within our school and beyond.

Thank you again to everyone who helped bring this important event to life.
