The Special Interest Music Centre was fortunate to be awarded a grant to attend an Adelaide Symphony Orchestra concert on Friday 27th August, as part of the Festival of Learning. The year 8-12 special music students were treated to an exceptional concert, based around music inspired by place. The program ranged from Russian to Australian to American works across a range of styles. The concert was compered by renowned Scottish composer, conductor and music educator Paul Rissman, who explained the backgrounds and stories behind the music and gave context to the music.
