On Tuesday 21st September, 14 students from Polyfonics and Senior Choir travelled to the city to perform at Flinders Street Baptist Church. The students performed a substantial 60-minute lunchtime concert consisting of 13 pieces, including one duet by Erin Davis and Karina Aston. The program showcased a variety of genres by both ensembles including swing, pop and chamber music, concluding the concert with a rousing rendition of This Is Me from The Greatest Showman, involving all singers. The audience was appreciated the wonderful talents of our singers and the contrasting program. A huge thank you to Jakub Tengdahl for his excellent piano accompaniment and assistance with the PA, and to all singers involved.
That afternoon the Senior Choir performed for camera, as part of a music video of Pure Imagination, which we are excited to release soon through the Woodville High School Facebook page. Click Films illuminated the D5 performance studio to create some wonderful footage and the ensemble. It would be true to say the students were well and truly exhausted that afternoon from three performances across two days! Congratulations everyone.
