On Tuesday evening the 17th of June the Music Department held their annual vocal evening in the learning hub. It was a fantastic evening featuring performances from over 100 students from our year 8, 9 and 10 level choirs, soloists Nathan V/K, Molly H and Adam E, as well as the Boys Chamber Choir, Senior Choir and Polyfonics.
We were also joined by 68 students from the Woodville Gardens Primary School Choir who opened our concert for the evening and joined us for our combined item at the end.
Thank you to Kerrie Polkinghorne for organising the event and to our other music staff Mitchell Bettison, Celeste Wong, Pre-service teacher Will Branson, Jakub Tengdahl, Ed Kriek, Sandra McEvoy, Music Coordinator Ben Fuller and Head of Music Paul Monaghan. Thanks also to Sarah-Jane Smith for supporting soloists in their preparation for the evening.
It was a packed house with standing room only and a great energy in the room. We have many more performances coming up during the remainder of the year and hope to see you at one of our upcoming events.
