From the 1st to 8th of August, Woodville High School had the pleasure of hosting 15 students from Ritsumeikan, Japan, as part of a study tour experience. During their visit, these students were warmly welcomed by our school community and paired with dedicated WHS buddies who guided them through the rich experience of Australian student life.
The week was filled with exciting activities that fostered intercultural understanding. The students participated in various Australian experiences, including a memorable excursion to Cleland Wildlife Park, where they encountered some of Australia’s unique wildlife. They also tried their hands at Australian cooking, engaged in traditional sports, and formed new friendships that will undoubtedly last a lifetime.
This visit was a valuable opportunity for all of us to learn from each other and to strengthen the ties between our two cultures. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our host families and all members of the WHS community who played a role in making this exchange a success. Your warmth and generosity made a lasting impression on our Japanese visitors.
