Recently students from the Year 10 Visual Art class recently designed posters for the SA Refugee Week Youth Poster Awards Exhibition 2022. Young people studying in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions are invited to produce a poster that celebrates the themes of multiculturalism, human rights, cultural diversity, anti-racism and the welcoming of refugees into Australia. The exhibition is hosted by the Migrant Resource Centre of South Australia in association with the University of South Australia.
From 330 entries, 85 students from 50 schools have been selected to be included in the final SA Refugee Week Student Poster Exhibition, including Woodville High School students Jillian Santos and Charlotte Kibble. The exhibition will be on display from Wednesday 22 June until Friday 29 July in the new Children’s ArtSpace Gallery at the Adelaide Festival Centre. Following these dates, the exhibition will tour to regional and metro galleries until April 2023.
Well done to all students involved and congratulations to our Woodville High School finalists, Jillian and Charlotte!
