This term our Woodville High School has partnered with accept care to run an Emotional Literacy program. Selected students have been offered this program to develop resistance to adversity and safeguards them against mental illness, enabling them to prosper in their educational endeavours and into their adult lives.
Throughout the program the students will embark on a journey to better understand the concepts of mental health, regardless of the presence or absence of a mental illness. Discussions will be had around the terminology, misconceptions and stigmas surrounding mental illness and the seeking of support throughout stressful life events and circumstance.
The students will participate in resilience activities designed to improve both their mental and physical health offering them the best chance of living happy and healthy lives.
