Academic Review Day – Tuesday 17 May
On Tuesday 17 May, Year 11 and 12 students participated in the Academic Review Day from 8.30am – 4.00pm. The Academic Review Day allowed students to take ownership of their own learning and growth and gave students a chance to consider their strengths and challenges and develop strategies in order to succeed. The day was student-led and allowed students to communicate their progress and for some obstacles to success with their parents/caregivers and mentor teachers. Students lead a 15-minute conversation with their parents/caregivers and their Mentor teacher, during which they presented their subject results, attendance data, reflections, strengths and challenges they have encountered during the term. In their discussion, they considered a range of strategies, and created a learning plan to support their needs and discussed their aspirations beyond school whether it be further education, training or employment.
