During the past week, our Stage 1 Music class had the pleasure of working with Adelaide composer Belinda Gehlert as part of a collaborative project with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra called Silos and Symphonies. This project, funded by the Music Education Strategy Innovation Fund, allows for school students to work with a composer to collaboratively compose a piece of music for the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, which be performed at a public concert during Term 3. Woodville High School was one of 3 schools asked to be part of this project. The students have been having a great time coming up with musical ideas to tell a story through music and Belinda is looking forward to the challenge of putting them together.
