Our Woodville’s motto is ‘Ad Astra per Aspera‘ which means reach for the stars, despite adversity. This is exactly what the SACE Drama students did on Wednesday 29 June when members of the cast were unable to perform due to illness prior to the show. With only hours’ notice, five other students stepped up, and collectively learned lines, learned cues, managed backstage changes and contributed to the overall success of a wonderful show.
Not only should the students who stepped up be proud, but the students who were in existing roles and remained calm and focussed despite adversity were a credit to themselves and the school as they truly reached for the stars.
