On Thursday, the 24th, our Learning Hub was buzzing with energy and excitement as we hosted our annual Disability Transition Expo from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. This event brought together students, families, and a variety of exhibitors, creating a vibrant atmosphere dedicated to exploring the diverse options available for individuals with disabilities as they transition into adulthood.

The evening was filled with valuable insights and engaging activities. Attendees had the opportunity to interact with various organisations and service providers who specialise in supporting individuals with disabilities. Exhibitors shared essential information on education pathways, employment opportunities, and community resources, ensuring families left with a wealth of knowledge about the possibilities that lie ahead.

Parents and caregivers expressed their appreciation for the event, highlighting how it facilitated important conversations about future planning. The expo was designed not only to inform but also to empower families by providing them with the tools and resources they need to make informed decisions. Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many noting that the event helped alleviate some of the uncertainties they felt regarding the transition process.

Students, too, were enthusiastic participants, engaging with the exhibitors and discovering new pathways that align with their interests and aspirations. The interactive nature of the expo encouraged students to ask questions, seek advice, and envision their futures with greater clarity.

The night also featured fun activities and interactive displays, making the learning experience enjoyable for everyone involved. From hands-on demonstrations to creative showcases, there was something for everyone. The sense of community was palpable, with attendees sharing experiences and building connections that will support them beyond the event.

As we reflect on the success of this year’s Disability Transition Expo, we are already looking forward to hosting the event again in 2025. We aim to expand on the knowledge shared and the connections made, ensuring that our students and families continue to receive the support they need during this critical transition.

Thank you to all who participated, including our dedicated exhibitors and the families who attended. Your involvement made this event a remarkable success, and we are excited to continue this journey together. Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare for another informative and inspiring expo in the future!
