We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new Pastoral Care program called THRIVE. Thrive occurs for 55 minutes once a week and informs the way we approach universal wellbeing and personal development, and we are delighted to see it already making a significant impact in Our Woodville community.
THRIVE has garnered support and participation from students across all year levels. Through its innovative approach, THRIVE has provided a comprehensive framework for nurturing individual potential, fostering a culture of care, and empowering Our Woodville community to flourish in all aspects of life.
One of the key factors contributing to the success of THRIVE is its multifaceted approach, which encompasses:
- Wellbeing
- Career Development
- Academic Support
- Community Outreach
- Peer Support
By addressing these interconnected areas, THRIVE offers a holistic solution to the diverse needs of our community members, ensuring that everyone has the resources and support they need to succeed.
Already, we have witnessed significant transformations and achievements among participants of the THRIVE program. We have seen senior and middle school students work together to create classroom agreements, which in turn allow all students to feel comfortable within the classroom. Last week all students participated in International Women’s Day activities which were informative and celebrated women’s and girls’ social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. Throughout the year we hope to see our students develop newfound confidence and resilience and make meaningful community contributions. Our Year 7 cohort has participated in a Schools Ministry Group Seminar which focuses on the impact of reputation particularly as it pertains to digital reputation, whilst our senior school students will deliver their first peer support lesson.
Together, we have embarked on a journey of personal and collective growth, and we look forward to continued success as we THRIVE together.
