Braiding Project 2023
Our Woodville students, staff and community members participate in the annual Braiding Project. The Braiding Project commenced in 2010 and each year focuses on a different theme. This year’s theme was Culture beyond Food, Flags and Festivals. The aim of the Braiding Project is to appreciate the different perspectives and worldviews, interact successfully and respectfully with others, and take responsible action to build a more just, peaceful and inclusive school. The day promoted shared leadership and responsibility and a genuine partnership that fosters a sense of belonging, participation and community. Building intercultural capability is essential to ensuring a vibrant and prosperous community in which everyone is welcomed, feels safe and is supported to participate. Thank you to everyone that took part in the day to help students understand and respect the differences in peoples’ beliefs and values based on the super-diversity represented across Our Woodville.
