Woodville High School is buzzing with excitement over the incredible success of our new Virtual Reality (VR) Lab, an exciting addition to our Learning Hub. This cutting-edge technology is offering immersive experiences that bring subjects to life in vivid detail.

In Year 7 HASS, students have embarked on virtual field trips around the world, exploring ancient civilizations and iconic landmarks without leaving the classroom. This hands-on approach has sparked a newfound enthusiasm for history and geography.

Our EALD classes have also embraced VR, with students diving into interactive storytelling and creative writing exercises. By stepping into the shoes of characters and exploring different settings, students are developing deeper connections with their narratives.

Our Year 11 Outdoor Education students are benefiting tremendously as well, using VR to simulate challenging outdoor scenarios. This safe, controlled environment allows them to practice critical survival skills and teamwork.

Our VR Ambassadors program has been a standout success, with dedicated students taking on leadership roles to help their peers and teachers navigate this new technology. These ambassadors have become invaluable resources, ensuring everyone can maximize the potential of the VR Lab.

The VR Lab is not just a technological marvel; it’s a gateway to new learning adventures. We look forward to seeing how this innovative tool will continue to inspire and engage our students.
