It was a great pleasure to introduce the Woodville High School graduates of 2021 at the Adelaide Town Hall on Tuesday 16 November. Collectively, they were one of the most supportive, positive and harmonious Year 12 groups we have had. There were some wonderful individual achievements throughout the year, including 8 students who gained Apprenticeships or were offered full time positions as a result of their VET programs, and 18 students who have already been offered places at university based on their Year 11 results. Some students had to face significant personal challenges this year and did so with courage and quiet tenacity. We are immensely proud of them all.

Highlights of the year for our Year 12s began with Orientation day, then a Year Level day at Adelaide University where they met their dynamic new Principal. Mrs Mirasgentis’ presentation had them engaging with new knowledge about a world of further training, study and work beyond school. There was a High Achiever’s Breakfast, a University and TAFE evening they attended with their families, and of course the highly anticipated and successful Year 12 Formal at the Grand in Glenelg. There were Academic Reviews, morning teas, and a Year 12 Breakfast and Farewell Assembly on their last day. We wish our 2021 graduates every success as they embark on life beyond school.
