On Wednesday 29th of June Woodville High School Celebrated the Vietnamese Full Moon Festival, celebrating the connection Woodville High School has to the Vietnamese community and Vietnamese language, history and culture.

Led by Ms Kim Dao, students performed an exciting múa lân lion dance to chase away bad spirits in the school. Students and staff watched the lion dance in awe and then were given the chance to learn some steps of their own to a traditional Vietnamese dance!

During Vietnamese lessons and at lunch time, Ms Kim Cao showed students how to make beautiful paper lanterns. Students worked with a member of the Vietnamese community and were able to take their lanterns home. Some were hung in the Learning Hub for other students to see and enjoy. At lunch time, Ms Kim Dao organised a variety of traditional Vietnamese games that students could play. Many students came to enjoy the lantern making and games.

Thank you to the students involved, community support and teachers Ms Kim Dao and Ms Kim Cao.
