Our Woodville is proud to have fostered a positive working relationship with The State Theatre Company of SA. 50 Drama students across years 10-12 were given the opportunity to travel to Flinders University in May where they participated in activities run by staff and students of the acclaimed Drama Centre as well as listen to the powerful words of Dr. Ryan Baring, university lecturer and representative of the global environmental organisation The Nature Conservancy. Students were able to tour the university, sample some of the foods Flinders can offer and finally, watch The State Theatre Company’s production of Cathedral. This was all offered free of charge to students by State Theatre Company and included exploration of future pathways and connection to industry professionals. One of the highlights of the day was running into old scholars, Parker and Nicola, now studying drama at Flinders University, who continue to aspire to their old school’s motto of reaching for the stars.
