This year, Alaric D’S and Maddi T, two exceptional students from our community, have been selected to participate in the prestigious South Australian Police (SAPOL) Work Experience program. This immersive, week-long program, held at the Police Headquarters located at 100 Angas Street, Adelaide, offers students the rare opportunity to observe and participate in various aspects of SAPOL operations. Alaric and Maddi will engage in a series of activities including observing different units, participating in workshops, and receiving mentorship from experienced SAPOL members.

The program aims to provide students with practical experience and insights into the diverse roles within SAPOL. This hands-on experience will not only be a platform for Alaric and Maddi to learn about police work but also a memorable event for their family, friends, and teachers. As part of their experience, they will receive recordings and media of their activities to enhance their school portfolios. This program, aligned with the Department of Education and Children’s Services Workplace learning guidelines, promises to be a significant milestone in Alaric and Maddi’s journey.
