As we begin another exciting school year, it brings us pleasure to announce the commencement of our highly anticipated Transition Program for the year 2024. This program marks a pivotal moment for both Our Woodville and our local partner schools as we prepare to welcome Year 6 students for our Taste of High School initiative.
The Taste of High School program stands as an integral component of our transition program, showcasing the essence of Our Woodville’s innovative teaching and learning ethos alongside our state-of-the-art facilities. This year, we are thrilled to present a series of engaging activities crafted to provide these young minds with a glimpse into the dynamic world of high school education.
Each Learning Area within Our Woodville has dedicated itself to curating an array of captivating lessons spread across the four-week program, offering small but enriching taster sessions. From the art of sushi and pancake making in our newly developed Food Technologies Hub to the mesmerizing narratives of Aboriginal Dreaming stories shared by our esteemed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Team, there’s something for every curious soul.
Over the course of the next four weeks, Our Woodville will proudly host over 400 Year 6 students hailing from schools throughout our cherished partnership. We extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every individual who has played a part in shaping and supporting this program throughout Term 1. Your dedication serves as a testament to our collective commitment to nurturing and strengthening our educational community.
